Prices are per visit in Canadian dollars, plus HST. An extra exhaust fan, heavy buildup from a missed cleaning, or hard-to-reach roof access can add to the price. You get the full price before we book, never after the job.

What every hood cleaning includes

  • Hood canopy cleaned inside and out
  • Baffle filters degreased
  • Plenum (the space behind the filters) scraped and degreased
  • Accessible ductwork and the rooftop exhaust fan
  • Before and after photos, and a dated service sticker
  • Written notes on any areas we could not reach

What makes the price go up

Five things move a quote. We tell you which ones apply before you book.

  • Hood length. Every foot past 8 adds surface, filters and plenum to clean.
  • Number of hoods. Each extra hood is its own clean, though it costs less than the first because the crew is already there.
  • Exhaust fans and duct length. A second fan or a long duct run through a multi-storey building takes more time.
  • Grease buildup. A system that has missed cleanings takes longer to bring back to bare metal. Once it's back on schedule, the regular price applies.
  • Roof access. A simple hatch keeps the price down. High roofs or landlord-controlled access add set-up time.

Comparing quotes? A much lower price usually means a smaller job, such as hood and filters only with no duct or fan. Ask each company to list the parts included, in writing. Our quote comparison guide has six questions to ask.

Other services
